You've seen this movie a million times before. An FBI agent and a snake specialist come up with a plot to combat the creature by pitting it against a bioengineered, 70-foot boa constrictor. The movie makes every possible misstep and comes limping back for more. After an overly ambitious businessman transports an 80-foot python to the United States, the beast escapes and starts to leave behind a trail of human victims. Staring at his ugly, wolf man body almost made me run to the bathroom. He was the true monster in "Ice Crawlers". There is no female nudity however we do get to see an incredibly hairy old guy take a shower. Basically a killer bath mat from the Jurassic period attacks some dolts in a big lab. Part of me wants to shred this movie point by point but it's just not worth it. Though it's confused by some seemingly random shifts of location, the plot is more substantial than is often the case in films of this type. The dialogue is awful, as it ought to be, and suitably entertaining. And there are lots of semi-naked women, including exotic dancers who look so bored with their job that they can't be bothered to panic when confronted by a monster - they probably see worse than that at chucking-out time on Saturday nights. There's also cheesy macho posturing from the hunter, who seems to be trying to be Indiana Jones, forgetting Indy's famous phobia. Fortunately it also has more traditional monster on monster action, with lots of biting and thrashing of tails, and there's an adequate amount of human-munching.
